Artists · a library program

Twenty images you already made. Buyers you could not reach alone.

A working artist gets paid while standing at the easel, the chair or the kiln, and not otherwise. This program turns a small library of finished images into three streams that pay while you work: cards and prints sold at retail, sets sold to institutions by the case, and licenses to the companies that print for those institutions. We do the selling, the invoicing, the payouts and the statement. You keep your copyright and your name on every piece.

You bring

  • Twenty finished images, in one voice
  • An hour to approve the files and the lookbook
  • A signed agreement, non-exclusive by category

The platform does

  • File preparation, lookbook, listings and fulfilment
  • The institutional pitch, sequences and samples
  • Licensing negotiation, invoicing, payouts
  • A statement every quarter: what sold, to which kind of buyer, what reordered

You keep

  • The larger share of every one-of-a-kind original
  • An even split on retail and on licensing income
  • A royalty on institutional wholesale
  • Your copyright, your name, every other place you sell

Percentages are written into each artist's agreement. Shares accrue in the ledger from the first sale and are paid against the quarterly statement.

Honor & Bloom, the first library on the platform

The first library

Lacey Rawson, Raw Sun Art Creatives

Five watercolor cardinals became Honor & Bloom, a card pack a person sends and a 25-pack a veterans post orders. The same library is becoming Thirteen Months, a six-card set hospices mail across a bereavement year, and the lookbook that aftercare printers license from. One artist, one library, three kinds of buyer. The second artist is the proof that this is a platform.
